TRAINING

We assess all of your current physical capacities and consult with you to understand your goals, and then develop a customized high performance training plan designed to enhance and enrich your athleticism specifically for your sport.

NUTRITION

Supported by CytoSport/Muscle Milk, we integrate meal-planning strategies, monitoring of hydration status, and a personalized supplementation program to assist in daily recovery, weight gain or loss, and long-term performance.

REGENERATION

We apply a multitude of methods and strategies to effectively enhance the body’s natural recovery processes. The cardiovascular, nervous, and metabolic systems typical recovery times are reduced with the combination of all the regeneration tactics employed at MJP.

TECHNOLOGY

MJP uses various technologies to analyze, design, develop and track all facets of responses to training. The use of radar technology to measure running and lifting speed, heart rate monitoring to measure recovery, force plate, 3D motion capture, and GPS to measure joint and biomechanical position during dynamic movement are a few of the standards we uses to quantify athleticism.

Inspire Sports Academy is partner with Michael Johnson Performance (MJP). We are the region’s first sports performance training center, providing a world-class facility to help every athlete reach his or her full athletic potential, regardless of age, gender, limitation, sport or natural ability.

Conquer Yourself at Inspire Sports Academy. Emphasis will be on endurance, strength, speed, agility, quickness, and sport-specific skills development, tailor-fit to the specifications of each individual.

HIGH PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW

High Performance (HP) is more than a name or label, it implies working at the top of the development pyramid, the best of the best and determining what is necessary to improve their athletic ability. Some of it is the quest for marginal gains, but it is also taking care of the first 98% – the basics and reinforcing them daily. Sports Science is a major part of the High Performance picture but it is not the driver. True High Performance programs are strongly athlete-centered, coach-driven and administratively supported. It is not fancy facilities nor high-tech bells and whistles; it is minute by minute attention to detail to meet the athlete’s needs. Essentially it is coaching the best to be better.

The HP programs are advanced training programs designed to serve the athlete that has progressed beyond the general needs of the NextGen department.

At MJP, it’s our objective to help every athlete achieve their athletic and career goals by creating an individualized performance program specifically designed for you.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ATHLETE

All collegiate, elite and professional athletes who are preparing to compete in sport or competition are eligible for the High Performance program. These athletes are local, national and internationally based athletes with a commitment to understanding what their unique athletic abilities are. These athletes are eager to learn what training strategies can be utilized to enhance their current athletic abilities.

  • 18+ years of age (College/Elite/Pro)

ADVANCED ATHLETE ASSESSMENT

For athletes looking to gain a better understanding of their body, performance, and how they compare against other world class athletes. Designed for athletes looking to take a more targeted approach to training, improve performance and reduce the risk of injury

  • Two Full Days (includes 2-night stay at ISA dorms and food)

  • Functional Movement Screen – used to identify previous injury history and assess athlete’s quality of movement (Y-Balance/FMS)
  • Physical Therapy Screen – review of athlete’s medical history and comprehensive evaluation to enhance each athlete’s performance
  • Physical Therapy Support – services available to athletes delivered by on-site medical team, additional cost applies
  • Performance Consultation – private sit down with a coach to set goals and structure training plan

Assessment is broken up into four categories including: pre-evaluation, neuromuscular profile, performance profile, and post evaluation.

HIGH PERFORMANCE: COLLEGE, ELITE, PRO

This program is available year-round to any athlete 18+ in any sport.

Details:

  • 2 hour training session
  • 18 total sessions, 3 sessions per week
  • Max athletes per group: 12
  • Program available year round

Inclusion:

  • Functional Movement Screen – used to identify previous injury history and assess athlete’s quality of movement (Y-Balance/FMS).
  • Performance Evaluation – pre and post evaluation to measure performance improvements (1st and last week)
  • Physical Therapy Support – services available to athletes delivered by on-site medical team, additional cost applies
  • Performance Consultation – private sit down with a performance coach to goal set and structure training plan
  • Performance Output Document
  • Body Armor Program – corrective exercises provided from findings of the functional movement screen to limit the potential for future injury
  • Speed Training – Acceleration, Max Velocity, Short/Long Change Of Direction and Angular Change Of Direction

Elite (Age 18+ Mix of College/Elite Athletes)

  • Athletes 18+ not on a professional or college roster who are preparing for an upcoming workout/tryout/or competition.
  • Collegiate athletes in all sports.
  • College athletes who are looking to maximize their time away from school.
  • Incoming freshman looking to prepare for the demand of collegiate strength and conditioning workouts.
  • College athletes who need to pass a performance test upon the return to school.
  • College athletes who are required to train during their break. (summer workout manual)
  • College teams/clubs.

Pro Sports

  • Any athlete on a current professional sports roster.
  • Pro athletes who reside in the Philippines or SE Asia.
  • Current free agents who are looking to make a team.

HIGH PERFORMANCE PRIVATE TRAINING: ONE TO ONE, TWO TO ONE

Athletes looking for a customized training experience. Highly personalized training customized to fit the athlete’s specific needs. Available year round.

  • 1hr training session (Can add on more time and session)
  • Depends on Athlete Schedule (Very Individualized)
  • Coach to athlete ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. Max athletes per group: 2

HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM INCLUSIONS

Goal Setting Consultation:

  • Initial performance consultation
  • Goals are extracted by the movement specialist
  • Within the first week of training, after his/her performance evaluation
  • Performance evaluation specialist will gather the athlete’s goals after initial evaluation consultation

Athlete Evaluation:

Structural evaluation (Physical Therapy Screen)

  • Done prior to the commencement of the initial training session
  • Initial structural and performance evaluation
  • Evaluation is done during the first week of training

Functional evaluation (Functional Movement Screen)

  • Done prior to the commencement of the initial training session
  • FMS Screening
  • Y balance screening
  • Personalized Body Armour Program within 7 days of initial structural evaluation

Performance evaluation

  • Done on the first week of training during the Wednesday performance testing block
  • Performance monitoring built in to programming

Body Composition Assessment:
Body Composition Assessment during the initial athlete evaluation. This will be captured on a consistent cadence of monitoring.

  • BodiTrax – Monday and Friday before training
  • Includes: body fat%
  • Lean skeletal muscle mass
  • Hydration status
  • Weekly monitoring on all of the above

Performance Output Document:
Pre and post-performance output document which consists of body composition, lower body power, acceleration speed, agility and stamina.

Document will be sent to athlete via email within a 7-day period of evaluation completion by the movement coach.

Recovery/Regeneration Modalities:
The athlete receives access to the following recovery modalities before and/or after a training session:

  • Cold/hot tubs (Coming Soon!)
  • AirRelax recovery boots
  • Vibration foam rollers
  • BodiTrax
  • Hot packs
  • Corrective Exercise Training (CET) prescription
  • Readiness/Recovery monitoring using OmegaWave
  • Well-being questionnaires
  • Body tempering devices

Pre-Training Inclusions:

  • BodiTrax hydration/body composition check. Can be done daily if needed; will be scripted at least 2x per week via body armour template)
  • Thermal plunge (hot tub w/ massage hose) Coming Soon!
  • Body vibration (Massage Gun located on training floor)
  • Corrective Exercise Training (CET) prescription (injury risk reduction strategies, movement efficiency re-education, mobility, stability and flexibility movements)

During/Post Training Inclusions:

  • During – CETs (scripted CET’s when indicated by HP specialists)
  • During – training modifications (as needed based on findings from screening, if any)
  • Post – local cryotherapy (ice packs w/ compression)
  • Post – contrast hydrotherapy (hot:cold contrast plunge pools) – Coming Soon!

  • Post – dynamic compression (Air Relax compression systems and zero-gravity chairs)
